Friendly Competition

Remember that reading competition I had with Taylor? Well i finished my book before she did, but then she said it was unfair because I had to read less than 100 pages when she had to read over 200. Yeah, that was a bit unfair, but she did agree to it so... well anyway she started a new one between the two of us. I had started the scarlet letter right after I finished with the pimpernel. I had just skipped the first 50 pages of the pointless introduction when Taylor bet that she could read her last 150 pages faster than I could read my last 150. That seemed even right? My font is way smaller than hers and more closely spaced together. I don't remember agreeing to this new bet, but then again I don't remember a lot of things...
It turns out that the Scarlet Letter hasn't really grabbed my attention yet (maybe it will but I don't know) and when I was trying to read it other people were talking and I wasn't taking any of it in except that Hester has to stand in front of a crowd with her baby for 3 hours and she cheated on her husband who may or may not be dead at the moment... oh and some guy with lopsided shoulders is talking to a native American... Then again I've only read about ten pages into the actual story of the book.

It doesn't really matter anyway because Taylor e-mailed me last night saying she finished her book. *shrugs* I'm a slow reader when I'm not interested in the book. Maybe I should put Scarlet letter up for a bit and read Dracula (its next on my lists of classics). I've already been sifting through it and all the different letters from different people are interesting. Yeah, that's probably what I'll do.

It's raining and i was about to go for a walk... oh well. Have a super special awesome day!!!! ;D
